Since ancient times, processions, pageants, and parades have held a special place in our collective history, serving as powerful displays of community cohesion and identity. Within these grand spectacles, children have consistently played a significant role, embodying the hopes and aspirations of their communities. As former paratroopers, we proudly lend our support to local military memorial days, ensuring that the sacrifices and valor of our servicemen are commemorated and revered.

Throughout the year, we actively participate in various commemorative events, including the Wayside Cross, Cassinga Day, Annual Remembrance Parades, SAS Parade, and many more. These occasions provide us with a meaningful opportunity to honor the memory of fallen heroes and pay tribute to their selfless dedication. As we stand together in solidarity, we assert our shared commitment to preserving the legacy of our military heritage.

Beyond the solemnity of remembrance, we also contribute to Poppy Day, an important initiative in which Canopy members take to local shopping centers, proudly 'rattling' the collection tins. By doing so, we raise funds for the SA Legion, an organization dedicated to assisting indigent ex-servicemen who may be facing challenging circumstances. Through our collective efforts, we extend a helping hand to those in need, recognizing the enduring bond that exists among servicemen and women, both past and present.

As ex paratroopers, we wholeheartedly embrace this tradition, actively participating in these meaningful events and fostering a spirit of unity and pride within our ranks.
